Don't you love being organized? My goal is to get my entire house organized before the end of the year. It's been a work in progress but I am sure I will get there. One of the most overlooked areas in my house to organize has been my bathroom. The under sink cabinets are just not used all that often so I don't pay much attention to it. It's been a collection of a hodge podge of items for years now and I have just about had enough. It was time to get in gear and get it organized. I don't have a lot of money to update this part of the house. Afterall, it's under the bathroom sink and doesn't get a ton of use. But, hopefully after organizing it and adding my AVEENO® products from Walmart, I will be able to utilize this space a lot more often.
The before photos are just embarrassing. Towels thrown about, hair tools laying around, even paint cans in there. It's not functional and has no organization at all!! But, that wouldn't stop me from getting organized. My goal is to have it all done and that's what I am going to do. Clean it out and get is organized into a space I can't wait to use.
My first step was to clean it out. No one needs paint cans in their bathroom, especially under the sink. I moved all the items that didn't belong out and put them elsewhere. Paint in the garage, cleaning products in the kitchen, and threw away all the trash. I went through what was left and kept what was needed and tossed the rest.
I purchased 4 storage organization ideas. That's it, just 4. It's a small space so not much more was needed. 1 large wire basket, 1 woven wicker basket, a cabinet door hanging organizer, and a 2-tiered pull-out drawer stand.
I played around with the set up moving baskets and bins around to get the look and fit I wanted. It didn't take long to get it perfect and how I wanted it and started filling with all my essentials. I now had a place to put my hair brush that wasn't on the counter near the sink. A place for extra washcloths, towels, and even my hair straightener. It's amazing how far a basket will take your organization and organization needs.
Towels fit perfectly in this large wire basket and no longer just thrown in the cabinet. I chose a wire basket because I didn't want any moisture on the towels to become trapped in a fabric or the wicker basket or bins. Plus, now they are ready to grab, perfectly folded, when I need them.
Now that my bathroom is organized I can fully enjoy my bathroom and utilize the under the sink cabinet. I am able to store everything I need now for all my bathroom supplies. No more paint cans under the sink! I can now have my towels and AVEENO PURE RENEWAL® Shampoo and Conditioner ready for when I need to shower.
