A Rustic Wedding Event

A few weeks ago, my very best friend and assistant here at Creative Designs by Toni, was asked by one of her classmates to help her plan her upcoming wedding. She asked me to help with a few details and to help her on the day of. Of course I said yes. So after months and months of planning, decorating, shopping, making phone calls, sending emails, and more planning the big day was finally here.

The wedding was to be held outside in Palmer, TX on Saturday October 5, 2013. With the ceremony location to take place near a pond and the reception inside a large barn. Aimee had her job cut out for her. Having to transform the entire space from top to bottom in less then 24 hours was going to be true challenge.

We headed out to Palmer on Friday evening and got right to work. After spending hours cleaning out the barn area, setting up and cleaning the tables and chairs, placing vendor tables, and delegating lighting tasks, we called it a night. But, we started right up again first thing, bright and early. Setting tables, candles, everything was getting done. The weather was looking fabulous and sunny and warm. However, just as unpredictable as Texas weather is, she really showed us. At 10:00am the weather was nice and warm and sunny. At 11:00am, it was freezing cold, windy, and raining! We had to rethink and re plan the entire event and only 4 hours to do so!

Moving the ceremony inside was our only choice, but had to be done. With last minute changes and decor issues, we managed to make the wedding a success. Check out some photos from the event below.

We set up a hand made bar with signature drink signs, candles, and more.

For cocktail hour, guests grabbed up a mason jar complete with chalkboard labels for the night.

Painted wine bottles, decorated mason jars, and candles decorated the tables.

Candy bar to end the wonderful night.

We created this Cards banner for gifts from guests.

Beautiful cakes provided by the super talented Loren of Kimberly and Loren's Sweet Treats.

We went the newlyweds off with a sparkle!

Sweetheart table for the bride and groom.

Congratulations to the happy couple. We were so thrilled to be able to be a small part of the wedding. Aimee did a fantastic job at planning this entire event!!
