As a mom of two boys, life gets crazy and hectic. There is always an adventure to go on, memory to be made, or a journey to embark on. We are usually busy with homework, projects, after school activities, and just life in general. It's a crazy life, but I absolutely love it and my boys are the best. But, being home with them all the time doesn't leave much time for mommy. That is why I am so excited to take a few minutes, or hours, out of my night to watch Pitch Perfect 2! The Pitches are Back!!!
Now, how do I carve away a few mommy minutes to enjoy my favorite movie??? Have you seen Pitch Perfect? The show is a classic and absolutely my favorite! I cannot even count how many times I have seen both Pitch Perfect 1 and Pitch Perfect 2. I even got my hubby hooked on it as well. It's the best. The music, the characters, the comedy, I cannot even tell you my favorite part. Plus, no matter how many times I have seen, the ending always gets me teary eyed. Love it!
The only way I can almost guarantee some quiet time is to make it about all about them. Because, what else does an 8 year old and a 6 year old love the most? Themselves! LOL. I headed to Walmart to grab the exclusive Pitch Perfect 2 Blu-Ray/Soundtrack combo pack. Soundtrack includes some of your favorite songs from Pitch Perfect and Pitch Perfect 2 (while supplies last). Plus, grabbed a few essentials while there to create a fun afternoon for them and a quiet night for me.
What can I say, we love movie night! It's always a blast and something the boys always look forward to. I always try to make it special for them no matter what. A little snack or treat with a few added extras always does the trick. Especially since I have to "bribe" them for some quiet time. I really don't need to bribe them. They are such good boys and would do anything for their mommy.
It's fall and that means I finally get to eat our favorite dessert. Pumpkin bread! I could eat it all year long, not just in the fall. I wanted to surprise my boys with a special sweet treat to help make our night even more fun! So, I served up some of our favorite fall dessert treats to make both our nights special.
After dancing the afternoon away and trying to share our goodies with each other, I sent the boys to clean up, upstairs, and relax, so mommy can watch and enjoy the movie in peace and quiet or sing really loudly along with all my favorite songs! Well, a little of both, all while enjoying my own slice, or three, of some of our pumpkin bread. A little mommy time out has never been more fun! Let's hope it lasts the entire movie!
