Teacher appreciation week is coming up in just a few short weeks and what better way to say thanks then with this fun Teacher Appreciation Tote Bag gift idea. Teachers work so hard all year long and and I can't wait to show them just how much they really mean to us. We are very lucky to have two amazing and wonderful teachers this year and I know they go out of their way to make sure my both my boys really love learning. That is why for this years teacher appreciation gift I created this custom tote bag full of their favorite items including Extra® Gum that I found at our neighborhood Kroger.

Extra® Gum is perfect for our teacher gifts because the new Extra® 35-stick pack is the perfect size for them to keep in their desk at school, purse when on the go, or even at home. The container is made from a durable, recycled packaging that hold more pieces of gum and let's face it, more gum is always better.

To create our custom teacher tote bag gift idea, we took a plain tote bag and grabbed some of our teachers favorite things like cookies, scented foaming hand soap, note pad, a book, a tumbler to hold their favorite drink, and of course Extra® Gum Spearmint and Extra® Gum Polar Ice®

Creating our teacher appreciation tote bag was so easy and lots of fun and I cannot wait to surprise them with their gifts. To create your own tote bag, you just need a few things. Using a blank canvas tote bag from our local craft store, I created an iron on glitter decal using vinyl and cut out our teachers name. But, you can hand paint using fabric markers or fabric paint as well as using a stencil to add their name or any design you want. Make is special by adding a quote or phrase or something you know they would love.

Our school posts a list of all of our teachers favorites, so it was pretty easy for me to figure out all the things they like. So, to fill our tote I grabbed some gourmet chocolate chip cookies, a bottle of their favorite scented hand soap, and a plastic tumbler in their favorite color to hold their favorite drink. I even included a colorful note pad and their favorite book to enjoy over the summer break.

Everything fit perfectly into our custom tote bag. Because the bag is much bigger then our items and we wanted it to be a perfect presentation, we added some tissue filler at the bottom to help our items appear to fill it up. We also used some ice cream and fruit shaped erasers to add a fun to the bags.
