It's almost Game Day!!! We are gearing up for one of our favorite times of the year. Yes, it's almost time for the biggest football game of the year and we are so excited! It's something my husband and I have always celebrated and now that we have two boys, they are now getting involved and just as excited as we are. I am not sure if it's the football, commercials, and the food or if it's just that we can gather around and spend a few hours bonding over the same thing and support and cheer each other on and have a good time.
However, my boys are still a little young to keep their attention focused on one specific thing for longer than an hour. So, keep them busy and help to keep them involved with so much going on around them, I combined a few of their favorite things, like Pepperidge Farm® Goldfish® crackers, crayons, and football, and I created this football themed activity sheet to keep them entertained and having fun during the game, commercials, or just when they need a little break.
I love being able to serve my boys Goldfish crackers because it is a snack I can feel good about them eating. It is a positive, wholesome snack food idea that we all love. Plus, with a kitchen full of food for the big game, Goldfish crackers are something they are familiar with, enjoy, and who doesn't love The Snack That Smiles Back®? Plus, do not miss out on the great digital offer on the Cartwheel app from Target for 10% off of bulk Goldfish crackers.
Help keep your kids busy and having fun during the big game with our football themed activity sheet. What kid doesn't love tic-tac-toe?!?! Mine are obsessed and want to play every chance they get. I added a few places to play this favorite game, but I should have added more! They want to play and play and play! Another favorite is the football coloring pieces. I had to print a few out because they loved decorating the football players uniforms and matching them up to the teams playing on the TV.
Supplies needed for your own Game Day football activity:
- At least 2 different flavors of Goldfish crackers (like Goldfish Cheddar 30 oz. Carton, Xtra Cheddar Flavor Blasted Goldfish 30 oz. Carton, Goldfish Mix Xtra Cheddar/Pretzel 34 oz. Carton) I purchased the bulk cartons to share, eat, and play.
- Crayons
Coloring is always fun and always seems to relax my boys. When they get a little overwhelmed with the action going on around them, I pull out their crayons and they get busy coloring. That's why I loved being able to create these for the big game. They love being able to color the football players uniforms how they want and they love to be able to draw themselves into the pictures as well.
I poured our Goldfish crackers into equal bowls, one for each of my boys, and of course for myself as well. Because, we all know I love a good game of Goldfish tic-tac-toe. Each boy had a different flavor to help distinguish between the X's and O'x. (We did smiles vs the non smiling Goldfish crackers because they had to have the exact same flavor.)
When they tire of the tic-tac-toe games and when they have colored their hearts out, they can flip the page over and using their favorite Goldfish crackers play out a game of football! How fun! This had my youngest son head over heels! He LOVES football and could not wait to get started!!! It was his favorite part of the activity sheet and he played with it for what seemed like for hours.
When getting everything ready for our big game party, I headed to Target and picked up our favorite Goldfish crackers. I purchased the Goldfish Cheddar 30 oz. Carton, Xtra Cheddar Flavor Blasted Goldfish 30 oz. Carton, and the Goldfish Mix Xtra Cheddar/Pretzel 34 oz. Carton.
Don't forget to use Cartwheel for 10% off bulk Goldfish crackers.
