Wizard House Sorting Ceremony

Do you have a favorite Hogwarts house? Are you a tried and true Gryffindor? Honest and just Hufflepuff? Maybe a Slytherin or Ravenclaw? Whatever your Hogwarts house is, this sorting ceremony will be perfect for your next Harry Potter party or maybe you just want to celebrate getting into your favorite wizard school. Set up is simple and the memories will last forever!

The centerpiece of our ceremony was of course the Sorting Hat and Gryffindor Robe. We placed a chair for our wizard students to sit in while the hat sorted them into their houses. A small black cauldron held strips of paper with the house names printed on them. Students grabbed a piece of paper while the hat was placed on their head.

Handmade house scarves and the Gryffindor Scarf were placed on a backdrop stand and placed behind the chair. This provided a colorful backdrop to sit in front of and they were ready to grab when placed in their respective houses.

Wizard students took turns sitting in the chair and placing the sorting hat on their head awaiting to be sorted into the Hogwarts house.
